I was really lucky because I fell in love with the geum in my mother's garden before I invested in one of my own. I don't think it's just the Pacific Northwest, because geums get huge here in California, too, even with 100+ degree heat where I live. Sometimes I think non-gardening folks make those tags. They are so misleading a lot of the time.

I do hope you find a lovely new place for your geums! Mine is my favorite plant in my flower garden. :)
